Chat rooms are virtual places where you can find people to talk to. You can be conversing with someone on the other side of the world, or your next-door neighbor. This is a great way to connect with friends and strangers alike. It’s an easy way to make new friends, too, and even romantic relations. Once you find someone similar to you, someone who attracts you and seems to be attracted to you, too, you can even meet each other in person.

But remember, you can’t really trust the person you’re talking to in chat rooms. You can’t be sure if he or she is telling the truth about his or her self. Not his or her age, location, traits, or even gender. Take care in revealing too much personal information, as this can be used against you. Not even chat rooms can come close with actual, face-to-face communication.
